Omaha jazz singer and songwriter, Camille Metoyer Moten and her trio will initiate the 6th concert season of First Friday Jazz at First Lutheran October 7.
The concert will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in First Lutheran’s Activity Center, 1551 South 70th Street in Lincoln. There is no admission charge and lunch will be available for purchase.
Camille’s trio is well-known in the region and was an audience favorite at her initial First Friday Jazz appearance last season. So, the concert planning committee felt it most appropriate for her trio to initiate this year’s series. She will be joined by Mark Haar on bass and David P. Murphy on keyboard. Mark has wide performance experience ranging from small jazz groups to big bands and symphony orchestras. David is a songwriter and music producer who plays the piano at every opportunity. And, in his spare time he has authored several books and short stories.
